The ceremony of the 2019 Shanghai Science and Technology Awards was held at Shanghai Exhibition Center on May 19, 2020. This year, the awards honored 308 scientific breakthroughs and distinguished researchers. Among them, 5 awards were from SIOM, which was a big harvest for SIOM and a remarkable tribute to the 60^th anniversary of laser.

The First Prize for Natural Science Awards:
“Ion acceleration scheme and new radiation field driven by super intense lasers”, led by professor SHEN Baifei;

The First Prizes for Technological Invention Awards:
“Key technology and applications of airborne blue-green laser ocean detection and communication system”, led by Professor CHEN Weibiao;
“Preparation of large size and high performance oxyfluoride infrared glass and its frameless component technology and application”, led by professor ZHANG Long;

The Second Prize for Natural Science Awards:
“Principle and applications of Darman grating”, led by professor ZHOU Changhe;
