SIOM National International Science & Technology Cooperation Base is evaluated as “excellent” again

On April 26, the evaluation result of all of the national international science and technology cooperation bases were announced and the National International Science & Technology Cooperation Base of Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (SIOM) was once again rated as "excellent". The evaluation was organized by the Ministry of science and technology of China and was carried out by a systematic and comprehensive evaluation. All national international science and technology cooperation bases (719 bases) in China were evaluated this time.

The evaluation period is from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2019. The materials to be provided include not only the detailed information of the signed cooperation agreements, the organized international conferences, the working positions in international organizations, the undertaken cooperative projects, etc., but also the assessment report including the international cooperation of the orientation, the goal realization, the achievements, the management, the ability, the experience, the challenges, and the suggestions, etc. Finally, the Ministry of science and technology of China selected 104 national international cooperation bases as "excellent" in the whole country.

In 2007, SIOM was awarded "National International Science & Technology Cooperation Base" by the Ministry of science and technology of China in the first batch. In 2015, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China evaluated 113 international cooperation bases for the first time and SIOM National International Science & Technology Cooperation Base was awarded "excellent".
